About Us

Welcome to Aaramgah – Our Alpine Farmstay! We are a husband and wife duo running the show with heavenly blessings of our granny, due permission of our adoring parents, support of our little sister and love of our charming young gentleman.

Why Visit Aaramgah

Imagine waking up to sounds of birds chirping outside your room; you open the door to an outstanding view of the great Himalayas, lush green deodar forest, an expansive apple orchard, while feeling chill in the air, and you pinch yourself –you’re not dreaming…

Welcome to Aaramgah – The Alpine Farmstay! We are a homey, warm and truly inviting place to be.Nestled in the middle of our family’s apple orchard, abutting a Himalayan Cedar (deodar) forest, Aaramgah is tucked away in a peaceful village called Joksha, in the shadow of the Great Himalayas. A place of peace and tranquillity, immersed with local fairy tales, Joksha is only 77 km from Shimla, 12 kms from Narkanda, in the vicinity of the River Satluj.

Aaramgah – The Alpine Farmstay is a serene and relaxing space so far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life that you’ll never want to turn back and leave. Built to taste, it’s a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional design worth experiencing.

Our Responsibility Towards You

At Aaramgah, in addition to an exclusive stay on the farm, we provide you with local Himachali cuisine and global hospitality. Each of our bedrooms offer you an optimal view of the snow-capped Himalayan Range with River Satluj sailing in its foothills. As soon as you leave the room, you’re standing in middle of the apple orchard, a few paces across the orchard and you find yourself in a thick forest.

Being amidst such variation in natural beauty is worth your next trip.

Our Responsibility Towards Community

To ensure what you and your family eats and drinks at Aaramgah, we have, and are constantly, teaming up with other farmers and food producers to make available fresh, locally grown food. Through this little community, we strive to help preserve our region’s tradition of small family farms and ensure healthy food for our patrons.

Our Responsibility Towards Nature

At Aaramgah, we are concerned about the environment; therefore, we try to adopt planet-friendly practices. For instance, our rooms have large glass windows, not just for the amazing view outside, also because they allow abundant natural light, which helps minimize electricity consumption during daytime. The linen used in our rooms is hand washed and dried in the sun, again a way to conserve electricity. We are steadily working on a rainwater harvesting system. And did we tell you, the jungle around Aaramgah is as clean and litter-free as your room. Well, this is only a beginning of our journey to go green and we’ll tread the route briskly.
