Welcome to Aaramgah – The Alpine Farmstay! We are a homey, warm and truly inviting place to be.

Nestled in the middle of our family’s apple orchard, abutting a Himalayan Cedar (deodar) forest, Aaramgah is tucked away in a peaceful village called Joksha, in the shadow of the Great Himalayas. A place of peace and tranquillity, immersed with local fairy tales, Joksha is only 77 km from Shimla, 12 kms from Narkanda, in the vicinity of the River Satluj.

About Your Host

Welcome to Aaramgah – Our Alpine Farmstay! We are a husband and wife duo running the show with heavenly blessings of our granny, due permission of our adoring parents, support of our little sister and love of our charming young gentleman.

Fondly known as ‘Mango’ to friends and family, I, Piyush Mehta, am 33-year-old modest Pahari (khadu, if you may) born in Kotgarh, the beautiful apple valley of Himachal Pradesh. My father is a humble gentleman and a successful orchardist. My mother, well she is as superwoman (don’t take my word, come meet her in person).

“Picture perfect location in an apple orchard. Waking up to glorious view of snowcapped peaks right from your bed, can it get better?? Yes! Warm hosts Piyush and Himani make you feel at home and pampered. Rooms are spacious, cozy with pinewood ceiling, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Handpicked fixtures and furnishings add to the charm a balcony overlooks the valley, pine and cedar forest and mighty mountains ahead. Food served is simple and absolutely delicious. Trust Piyush to chalk out an offbeat itinerary to drive around. He suggested a spectacular route from Sarahan to Narkanda for a day drive. Its pet friendly and my big Pup enjoyed himself.”

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and Piyush the owner kept us entertained through the evening over barbeque. The food is home cooked and delicious. Loved the place!
